We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team! Your primary responsibility will be to build vendor relationships to secure the best prices on products and services for our company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the company.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.
Track inventory and restock goods.
Stay current on industry trends and new products.
Research and find suppliers that produce quality items within the company’s budget.
Gather and prepare quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and conditions from suppliers for supervisor management review.
Analyze, monitor, and record supplier/vendor performance.
Serve as supplier’s main point of contact for the company.
Requirements and Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative support.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to understand price points and negotiate effectively.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.
Strong attention to detail.
